Dr. Walid Dandan is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, specialized in Inflammation & Infection of the Eye, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Medical Glaucoma.
Dr. Dandan completed his undergraduate studies from the University of California with high honors. He then received his medical diploma in general ophthalmology from Lebanon where he underwent his training in the reputable St. George Hospital University Medical Center. Following his Residency in Ophthalmology as a General Eye Surgeon, Dr. Dandan moved to France to pursue further in-depth sub-specialization earning multiple diplomas from the prestigious Sorbonne and Paris Descartes Universities.
Dr. Dandan has extensive experience in the assessment and management of ocular surface disorders and inflammatory eye diseases (dry eyes, allergies, infections, uveitis, autoimmune diseases of the eye, etc.) as well as medical glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology. In addition, Dr. Dandan’s clinical experience includes diagnosing and treating medical retinal disorders, such as macular degeneration (diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases, etc.).
Moreover, Dr. Dandan performs a multitude of interventional procedures such as cataract surgeries, pterygium excisions, intra-ocular injections, and laser treatments.
He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – UK, a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology, and a member of the European Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Dandan is also a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Dandan has shown exceptional dedication to his patients and humanitarian mission. He has always found time for volunteering in Lebanon and South America.
